Agency names approved bidders for auditing work
By David Hencke | 2 December 2011 | | 1 Related pieceApproved bidders seeking to win contracts to carry out full audits of large councils have been named by the Audit Commission.
The list includes DA Partnership, which was set up by the Audit Commission’s managing director of audit practice, Gareth Davies. He is also leader of the team in charge of privatising the service at the Audit Commission, but took leave of absence in August to work for his own firm.
Davies, a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy, has been with the Audit Commission since he joined as a 17-year-old trainee in 1987. He rose to become regional director for the north of England, then managing director for local government, housing and community safety. He was appointed managing director of audit practice in September last year.
