Margaret Hodge, chairwoman, House of Commons public accounts committee
Ed Lester is to stand down as chief executive of the Student Loans Company, Exaro can reveal. It follows the furore over how the senior public official was paid through his personal-service company.
The SLC is advertising for a new chief executive on what it describes as an “attractive salary” – the same as Lester’s pay package.
