Mark Watts tells RT’s Sputnik about ‘Britain’s biggest scandal’

Editor-in-Chief talks with George Galloway about investigation into UK’s massive scandal

By Exaro Team | 29 June 2015

Editor-in-Chief Mark Watts appeared on Russia Today to discuss with former MP George Galloway Exaro’s exposure of an enormous scandal in the UK.

Exaro has led the uncovering of the ‘Westminster paedophile network’, forcing the authorities and the mainstream media in the UK to focus on the issue of child sex abuse by powerful people.

Speaking on Galloway’s programme on Russia Today, Sputnik, Watts said: “This is, undoubtedly, the biggest political scandal in post-War Britain.”

Galloway said: “This story would be nowhere as important as it now is, and it still has a long way to go to match its importance, if it were not for Exaro.”

A few minutes later, Galloway came back to the comment by Watts about the scale of the scandal, saying: “Mark, you made a very portentous statement, which I am still chewing over. And I think you are right.

“This is the biggest scandal in Britain for, well, since the War, I think you said, not sure there were bigger ones before the War.”

The interview with Watts is in the second half of the programme, beginning at 12 minutes 55 seconds into the video above.

Broadcasters around the world have followed up astonishing revelations from an investigation that has been running at Exaro since October 2012.

More overseas programmes are lining up special reports, and we shall provide updates on those as soon as we can.

Meanwhile, British broadcasters have been notably slower off the mark, even though Exaro’s disclosures repeatedly make the front pages of newspapers in the country.

BBC1’s Panorama has made itself a laughing stock among journalists around the world after Exaro revealed in March that it was planning a programme that seeks to “debunk” claims of a ‘Westminster paedophile network’.

The BBC is already in the frame over the issue of child sex abuse, not least because of the paedophile activities of one of its biggest stars, the late Jimmy Savile, and the canning of an expose by BBC2’s Newsnight of his sexual abuse of children.

However, one British radio broadcaster, LBC, has devoted a lot of airtime to the subject of paedophilia within Britain’s establishment.

James O’Brien has frequent updates on his morning programme from Watts.

And Exaro’s Editor-in-Chief is often on Iain Dale’s Drive programme. Earlier this month, Watts joined Dale and Labour’s mayoral candidate, Tessa Jowell, for the Newsmakers slot to discuss Exaro’s investigation into the ‘Westminster paedophile network’.
